Desirous of moving on, the Swami next went to Ajmer, replete with memories of the magnificence of its Hindu and Mogul rulers. The Swami visited the palace of Akbar and the famous Dargah, sacred alike to Hindus and Muslims, being the burial place of the renowned Muslim saint, Mainuddin Chisti. Here he also visited the temple dedicated to the creator, Brahma. It is the only one of its kind in India.
